pilot needs of his wing " this
is the philosophy with which the GRIF develops his projects.
The COACH is the first wing mono surface produced by
the GRIF, the most pressing application for this type
of wings it derives from our dealer USA, in that market kind in sight
of the publication of the norms concerning the Sport Pilot, he is having
a notable increase of interest towards the great trikes and of the various
versions hydro of the same ones, the application of the market USA is
given by the demand to have easy wings to pilot and not necessarily fast,
in short something that allows to be in air in simple and effective way.
The prototype has been developed departing from the loom of the
TR, almost maintaining an unchanged sail plan with the alone
difference to remove the double surface and to leave therefore the cross
in sight.
The performances found by this wing are comparable to those of the TR,
in comparison to the wing of departure, least speeds are slightly found
only inferior, while the mottos are sensitively decreased, increases him
resistance given from the cross-cafe in sight and the mono surface, they
shorten the necessary spaces to brakes after the landing.
From this first wing then the definitive Coach has been developed, wing
with less than 18 mq than surface.

As our custom,
in the project, the attention has also been turned to the aesthetical
aspect of the wing, the used components they are those known and perfectly
tested in over 10 years of production and that by now they countersign
the style GRIF.
The loom has been realized in AVIONAL 2017 and the sticks
of the sail in ERGAL 7075 all the plates and the mechanical
parts they are realized in AVIONAL 2024, Aluminum 3571 and Acciaio
INOX, according to their employment.
All The pieces have been projected for their mechanical job, but it have
been kept in mind also the aesthetical factor, an example they are the
particular ones of the triangle of guide whose heads have the same form
of the aerodynamic profile of the uppercut.
They are realized in great centers of job endowed with cars numerical
control utensils.
For the sail we use the products of the POLYANT, the
edge of attack is realized both in TRYLAM and in DACRON,
but the estradosso and the double surface are realized only in
DACRON strengthened in the points of great effort.
